Who is Limor Markman?
Limor spent 12 years in the financial industry before transitioning to create Financially Fabulous, a business which supports women in taking control of their finances.
She’s a regular public speaker and recently contributed to an Amazon best seller called Who’s Going to Stop Us Now.
She’s a big proponent of utilizing multiple streams of income and making your money work for you. She has built a portfolio of real estate properties in several provinces across Canada.
Why did I bring Limor onto the show?
I brought Limor onto the show because when I spoke to her prior to the podcast, I quickly realized that she could bring a lot of value to you.
She talks about the importance of making our money to start work for us and not trading our time for money. She shares how she teaches her clients to start tapping into multiple streams of income and negotiating the cost of anything we can.
During the episode we dive into specifics, like what you should be negotiating and how to contact your credit card company to ask for lower interest rates. Limor shares various side hustles she’s encountered and how people are making an extra buck.
Ontop of that, Limor shares her journey of becoming an entrepreneur and the many unknown days that laid in front of her. She talks about charting her own path and how she was able to find her direction.
The One Habit to Take Away
Negotiate, Negotiate and Negotiate - After I first talked to Limor, my cell phone provider sent me a massive bill for over $400 because I spent a month out of the country and racked up a lot of extra charges.
I had spoken to Limor a couple days earlier and instantly took Limor’s advice to contact my cell phone provider.
I told them I had been a loyal customer for many years and explained why my bill was larger than normal. With a little magic from there end we were able to bring my phone bill down from $400 to $160. I saved $240 for making a 20 minute phone call. That would work out to $720 an hour!
When we work hard for our money, it’s these tips and tricks that can make a difference in our bottom line at the end of the day. Limor shares a variety tactics she teaches her clients in the podcast.
