"The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence."
-Ruby Fremon
What is a Fuck Yes Life?
Living a fuck yes life is waking up every morning and saying fuck yes to yourself, to the day ahead and the life you have versus dreading it.
This can be such a powerful shift says my guest, Ruby Fremon, and anyone can experience living a fuck yes life.
The foundation of self-love is the basis for it. "When we have a strong relationship with self, we stop settling for things that are below our value."
The Lesson to Take From This Podcast
Ruby says that there is a misconception about self-love today. It's not just about taking yourself to yoga classes and giving yourself relaxing baths.
When we love someone intimately in a relationship, we get to know their deepest desires, what they are passionate about, what they want and how we can support them. The same goes for loving ourselves.
You need to understand your deepest desires, what you're passionate about, what you want and how you can support yourself in getting there. That's where the fuck yes life begins says Ruby, understanding yourself intimately and knowing what you want.
Who is Ruby Fremon?
Ruby hit rock bottom in 2012; she realized the life she had created mirrored her on the inside. All the addiction, anxiety, depression and dysfunction of her relationships was a reflection of her.
"Owning your shit is one of the most powerful things you can do."
And that's what Ruby did. She started owning her shit. Honoring her needs. Understanding that she needed help. That she needed to go to therapy. At the same time Ruby, started spending a lot of time starting to understand what she truly desired.
She started spending an immense amount of time dating herself. She began substituting nights of partying with late night yoga. She started spending time with herself every morning journalling. She began to focus on herself.
As she shifted her behavior, new doors started to open up. This is where the fuck yes life was born.
Ruby began to realize the life she had was a direct result of the choices she was making and she had the power to choose differently. The dysfunctional relationships with cheating boyfriends, the late nights of partying and abusing her body, the dependency on prescription medication was all a by-product of the choices she was making.
By choosing differently, Ruby knew she had the power to shift her life. And that's what she did.
Today Ruby is a transformational coach, a public speaker, a vlogger and has an online program to that supports people to live a fuck yes life.
Why Did I Bring Ruby Onto the Show?
I brought Ruby onto the show because I knew her story of living a life she wasn't proud of and having more to give would resonate with my audience. Ruby's life of addiction and dependency was not the life she imagined for herself.
We all make choices in our life. The choices we make reflect our life and the relationship we have with ourselves. When we have a poor relationship with ourselves, this is reflected back in our day to day.
I wanted Ruby to share her experiences and to provide you with support in taking the first steps to having a more loving relationship with yourself. By learning intimately what you crave and creating a loving relationship with yourself, is the first step to having a fuck yes life.
